A sweet milky drink made with shatavari, for extra nourishment.
- a saucepan
- 1 1/2 cups milk or milk substitute
- 1 tbsp powdered shatavari
- 1 cardamom pod (or a pinch of powdered cardamom)
- a pinch of cinnamon
- honey, to taste
Warm the milk, with the cinnamon and cardamom, in the saucepan, and when its warm (but not boiling) whisk in the shatavari. Keep warm (at a slow simmer but not boiling) for 5 minutes, then remove from the heat and stir in honey, to taste. Pour into a mug and drink.
