At Wonder Botanica we’re committed to creating opportunities for those who would not be able to afford courses with us under normal circumstances.
If enrolling in The Wonder Sessions is not possible for you right now but your heart is calling you to take it, we’ve created a small number of needs-based scholarships for you.
We will be prioritizing BIPOC; transgender people; single mothers; people who live in countries where the exchange rate makes enrolling in USD utterly prohibitive.
If you do not fall into one of these groups please don’t let that stop you from applying, but please understand that our first priority will be the folks listed above.
We know that a lot of scholarship programs make you write about your story and give an explanation as to why you are in need, but the idea of having to prove that you’re worthy of help doesn’t sit right with us: asking is hard enough without having to do a performance about it.
So, you don’t need to ‘prove’ yourself, and we’re not picking applicants based on your stories. If we have enough space for everyone, then we’ll let everyone in. If we have too many applicants, we’ll be picking people at random, using a computer program to generate the numbers.
There are two different types of scholarship available:
50% off the course price
(for a total of $2555).
75% off the course price
(for a total of $1444).
We have payment plans available- 4, 6, or 12 payments.
Here’s what you need to do:
Please email rebecca@wonderbotanica.com with the subject header ‘Scholarship’. <— v. important, so that we can sort and find all the emails.
Write a short note about yourself and why you’re applying (please see above- we don’t need you to prove yourself, but it does help to just know a little bit about you. Absolutely no re-hashing of traumatic things necessary. We’re more interested in why you feel drawn to The Wonder Sessions!).
Specify whether you’d like to receive 50% off the course tuition, or 75% off the course tuition, and whether you’d like a payment plan.
If there are more applicants than we have space for, then we’ll choose names at random. Our hope is that there will be room for everyone.
We’ll let you know within 24 hours: look for an email response from either Rebecca or Maeg.
One more thing: if you want to be in the course, please don’t deliberate on this.
We’re only accepting applicants until Monday at 8am, PST, because we need to sort through them all and get you into the course! Any application emails received after 8am, PST will not be accepted.
WE RECOGNISE IT IS A BIG SCARY STEP, TO SAY ‘I WANT THIS AND I’M WORTH IT’. ASKING IS HARD!
